WELCOME to the Composer-in-Residence Project
COMMISSIONS
An added feature here is that you may commission the composer to write something especially
for your choir or orchestra. Simply contact him with your questions. Once you have discussed
what you're looking for, the composer will set to work to produce a memorable anthem based
on the ability level of you choir. No worries about about avant garde, experimental or atonaL
music.

If you're interested in commissioning a new work contact
Whether you have a 150- voice choir or a small parish choir of twelve, the
composer will write to suit your needs, the occasion, and ability level of your
choir. You choose the text.
The anthem may be a maximum of 5 minutes long. The composer requires a
minimum of six weeks lead time before the first rehearsal. Maximum forces are
SATB (w/divisi), accompaniment and two instruments.
Orchestral commissions: Contact the composer for quotes.
Base Commission Fee: $1,000.

WHAT IS AN "E-SCORE?"
An E-SCORE is the actual music you receive via electronic means, that is, the score you receive
as an attachment in your e-mail.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING THIS SERVICE?
HOW DO I ACCESS/USE THE AUDIO LIBRARY?
Simply click on the Audio Music Library. (You’ll need an audio player installed on your computer,
e.g., Windows Media Player, Real Player, etc). Here you will find MP3s of the music as well as a
link to the complete description including voice parts, level of difficulty, accompaniment,
language, voice ranges, etc.
How Do I Review the Actual Music?
You may see sample copies of sections of each piece. This, combined with the audio portion
will help you decide if the music is right for your needs.
HOW DO I RECEIVE COPIES OF THE MUSIC?
Your anthems (E-SCOREs) will be sent to you electronically via e-mail as a Portable Data File
(PDF) attachment. You may download the music or you may store it on your computer until you
are ready to use it. If you prefer, anthems will be sent to you via the postal service.
HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO NEWLY-COMPOSED MUSIC?
Just check the site from time to time. Existing customers will receive an e-mail with a PDF of
the newly composed music with a link to the audio sample.
HOW MANY COPIES MAY I MAKE?
Make as many copies as you need for your own music program.
HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT I WILL LIKE THE NEW MUSIC ?
Well, there’s no guarantee of that but the odds are that if you like what you hear in the online
audio library, you will be happy with the new stuff.
CAN I ORDER IF I LIVE IN A COUNTRY OUTSIDE THE USA?
Yes. Ja. Da. Si. Oui. Uh-huh. YEP. YEP. YEP.
